RULES & WAIVER OF LIABILITY

1. HOW TO ENTER:
Please carefully read these official rules and the entry form. By ticking the acceptance box below, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all the terms and conditions of this event.

2. ElIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE:
This contest is open to all Australian residents aged 18 or older. Participants aged 16 to 17 may enter only with parental or guardian permission, and the guardian must be present on the day of the event. Individuals with a pre-existing medical conditions is not eligible to participate. Employees of OMC Burgers & Bar are also ineligible.

3. CONTEST RULES:

  • The competition consists of a single 30-minute round where each contestant attempts to eat a 2kg burger.

  • The winner is the contestant who consumes the most burger within the allotted time.

  • Judging is final. OMC Burgers & Bar reserves the right to disqualify any participant deemed unfit or violating rules without explanation.

  • Contestants may sit or stand in designated areas, eating with hands only, and may eat patty and buns separately or dunk the burger in provided beverages.

  • Start only upon the official signal. No touch or consume before the start.

  • At 30 minutes, contestants must cease eating and put hands down immediately. They have 15 seconds to swallow remaining food. Regurgitation results in disqualification.

  • Disqualification grounds include: incomplete or false entry forms, health risks, intoxication or under the influence of alcohol, inappropriate appearance, premature start, continued eating after time ends, failure to attempt the burger, or vomiting.


4. PRIZE AWARD

The contestant who eats the most within 30 minutes wins:

  • $250 VISA Prepaid Card

  • OMC Burgers & Bar prize pack

  • Placement on the Wall of Fame

5. COPY RIGHT

  • Winners earn bragging rights as the ‘Top Dog’ of the OMC BIG MOUTH BURGER CHALLENGE.

  • By participating, you grant OMC Burgers & Bar permission to use your name, image, voice, and likeness for promotional purposes without compensation, aside from the prize.

6. RISKS AND LIABILITY WAIVER

Contestant acknowledges that there are risks of personal injury, illness and possible loss of life, and risks of damage to or loss of personal property, which may result from participating in this contest. Contestant voluntarily enters the OMC Burgers & Bar Burger eating competition and assumes all of these risks. Contestant, as a condition of entry, agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless OMC Burgers & Bar and affiliated companies, their vendors, their advertising, promotion and public relations agencies, co- sponsoring companies and their affiliates and agencies, and all officers, directors, employees and agents of the aforesaid entities, from any and all claims and costs, including legal fees, relating to, arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In so doing, contestant releases and indemnifies the aforesaid entities and individuals from liability for injuries or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In no event shall OMC Burgers & Bar be liable to a contestant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the challenge or that Contestant & participation in the challenge.

7. DISCRETION & FINAL AUTHORITY

OMC Burgers & Bar retains sole discretion over all contest matters. Disqualification or decisions are final and at the sole discretion of the organisers.

8. CERTIFICATION & CONSENT

I certify all provided information is accurate, and I have read and accepted the rules. By entering, I agree to the terms.

9. ON-THE-DAY WAIVER & MEDICAL CONSENT

Participants must agree to the following prior to competing;

  • I release OMC Burgers & Bar from liability related to participation.

  • I acknowledge the risks involved and agree to emergency medical treatment if necessary.

  • I understand and accept these terms, which are governed by Australian laws.
